How TypeFix AI handles personal data

Last updated: 17 October 2026. This policy describes what Astute Solutions collects on astuteresolutions.in and in the TypeFix AI Windows app, why we process it, and how long we keep it.

Data we collect

Checkout: your name, email address, the product you select, and the order amount in INR.
Payments: the payment service collects payment-instrument data under its own policy. We receive the payment status, amount, and a payment reference. We do not store full card numbers.
Desktop sign-in: Google account email and profile, using the openid, email, and profile scopes. We do not receive your Gmail password. The session is stored in Windows Credential Manager on your PC.
Provider keys you paste: stored in Windows Credential Manager. They are not written into settings.json or into the installer, and they are not sent to this website.
Selected text: sent to the model provider only after you choose an action such as correct, rewrite, improve, or explain. Password fields are ignored. The local log does not contain API keys or the selected text.

Why we process it

We use this data to deliver the software or credits you buy, to answer support requests, to prevent duplicate credit grants, and to meet tax and accounting duties under Indian law. The legal bases we rely on are performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in running customer support, and legal obligations where they apply.

How we protect it

Website pages are served over HTTPS when hosted. Provider keys and the Google session stay in Windows Credential Manager. Model keys used for the credits service, if you enable that mode, stay on the server as secrets and are not shipped inside the installer. Staff access to order and support records is limited to people who need it to fulfil an order or answer you.

Sharing

We share data with the payment service when you pay, with Google when you sign in, and with the model provider only for text you submit for an action. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if the law, a court, or a regulator requires it.

Retention

Email you send to support is kept for up to 24 months. Order and invoice records are kept for up to 8 years to meet accounting requirements. You can delete the local app log and credential entries on your PC by signing out and removing the app.

Your choices

You may ask for a copy of the contact and order data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email support@astuteresolutions.in. You may also contact the relevant authority if you believe a request was not handled properly.
